Flossing technique

Many type of floss/tape are available waxed, unwaxed, flavoured and also floride impregnated. Select approximately 50cm of your favourite floss. Wind the ends around your middle fingers of both hands, so that a short distance is left between them.

Insert the floss between two teeth onto the gum line. Sweep up and down the tooth on one side then the other. Repeat this action between all teeth, using you r fingers wind to a fresh portion of floss each time.

Flossing takes practise so persistence is essential. If flossing between back teeth is proving too difficult using flossers or flossettes may help.
