I began my search for my own dental practice in the early 1990s, when I became disillusioned with the daily grind of repairing damaged teeth.
As a dentist trained in Birmingham and then employed to work in the Crewe and Nantwich area, which all benefitted from fluoridated water and low tooth decay rates, I had the advantage of experiencing successful community-based preventive treatments. This allowed me to concentrate on delivering other health messages such as oral cancer awareness and the benefits of good tooth-brushing techniques to prevent gum disease.
After a brief spell working in Australia and New Zealand I returned to the north west of England to find a practice where I could pursue my goal of providing top class dental care and advice, with the emphasis on prevention.
My love of cycling led me to Wirral, where I found/set up Wallasey Village Dental Practice. My good friend, Olympic gold medal winner Chris Boardman MBE, kindly performed the opening ceremony in December 1992.
The practice ethos of providing quality dental care for you and your family, with an emphasis on prevention of oral disease, is upheld by our hygienist, Julee and our hygienist/therapist, Holly and supported by the rest of the team. Our specially-trained nurses are on hand to explain and demonstrate the best use of all our hygiene products in our dedicated oral hygiene room.
Wallasey Village Dental Practice thrives because of our loyal client base, who share our goals and aspirations to keep a healthy mouth for life.
